Kevin Urick, Attorney at Law - Attorney Profile

Kevin Urick
Cecil County, Maryland, Attorney

I am attorney Kevin Urick, a general civil practice lawyer. My office is conveniently located in Elkton, Maryland. I provide legal services to meet the civil law needs of residents of Cecil, Harford, and Kent Counties. People call on me to resolve important issues for them, from obtaining child custody and support, to forming a business, to drafting a will, among others.

I have over twenty years experience as a lawyer, with much of my experience coming in the courtroom as a litigator handling hundreds of cases. For thirteen years I served as a prosecutor in Baltimore City, routinely handling serious felony and homicide prosecutions. Then, for three years, I worked in private practice in Baltimore City, litigating lead paint tort cases, seeking to protect children from the effects of this toxic substance. Since 2005, I have maintained a small, private practice in Cecil County, regularly appearing in the district and circuit courts on behalf of my clients.

My practice centers on the civil legal needs of my clients. I am one of a handful of lawyers in Cecil County who accept cases where litigation is necessary, appearing in Maryland District Court or Maryland Circuit Court as a zealous and dedicated advocate for my clients. My experience as a litigator has made me intimately familiar with the workings of these courts, and taught me how to work constructively with them to obtain favorable results for my clients.

Besides my legal practice, I am also active in volunteer activities in the community. For over ten years, I have been involved with various Irish and other fraternal organizations, aiding them in raising money for charity and putting on cultural events. I also serve on the board of directors for Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services, Inc., a local non-profit providing services to the residents of Cecil County and work with various professional organizations seeking to reduce inter-personal violence among family members.
